Yas Island Rotana carried two prestigious awards during the Gourmet Abu Dhabi Starts awards this year.
The Gourmet Abu Dhabi Stars Awards is the ‘Oscar’ of the culinary scene in the capital, and a fitting culmination event for the amazing program of workshops, demonstrations, gala events and of course food tastings offered every year at Gourmet Abu Dhabi.
The first award was provided to Maneeshdev GV the Regional Cuisine Restaurant Manager of the year for the Modern Indian restaurant Rangoli at Yas Island Rotana. Maneeshdev, who has more than seven years of culinary experience, prides himself in his attention to detail and commitment in providing exceptional customer service.
Raghu Pillai won the second award, courtesy of BBC Good Food, and was recognized for the Organic Garden project he initiated as the Best Sustainability Practice. Raghu is the Executive Chef for Yas Island Rotana and Centro Yas Island. He has an extensive experience of fourteen years – having worked throughout his career across many prestigious hotels within the Middle East; Raghu joined the Rotana family in 2008.
