As part of their “Wahashtouna” campaign aimed at promoting tourism from Arab and Gulf nations to Egypt, the Ministry of Tourism and the Egyptian Tourism Authority announced that starting Wednesday 28th, Air Cairo will provide Kuwaiti citizens and residents the opportunity to travel directly from Kuwait to Hurghada in Egypt. Trips’ prices will start at 450 U.S. dollars. These packages will include air tickets and accommodation for three nights.
This step comes in line with a larger strategy to provide more weekly direct flights between Kuwait and the various tourist destinations in Egypt. The direct trips from Kuwait to Hurghada are the most recent addition to these direct flights, since direct line trips between Sharm El Sheikh and Kuwait have already been operated earlier this year.
H.E. Ambassador Nasser Hamdi, Chairman of the Board of the Egyptian Tourism Authority, said: “Launching direct flights from Kuwait to Hurghada is a key milestone is our strategy to promote Egyptian tourism from Arab nations, specifically Kuwait. Making up 20% of the total number of tourists visiting Egypt each year, the Arab market is one of the most significant contributors to Egyptian tourism. We are taking tangible steps in extending a warm welcome to Kuwaiti nationals and residents alike through offering these competitive packages to our world-renowned tourist destinations in Hurghada.”
