Egyptian tourism sector has posted a 43% year-on-year drop in revenues in the first three months of 2014 to $1.3bn, Reuters has reported. The drop was due to the Taba attack in February that killed three South Korean tourists, said economic advisor to the minister of tourism, Adella Ragab. Egypt received around two million tourists in the first three months of 2014, down 30% from the same period the previous year.
