Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) and FLASH Entertainment have unveiled an exhilarating series of high profile events spread over 62 show days from June 12th to August 29th, as part of the blockbuster Abu Dhabi Summer Season.
Appealing to the UAE community and international tourists, the superstar line up of world-class entertainment events will make this Abu Dhabi Summer Season the most memorable ever.
The upcoming season boasts a mix of international & regional musicians, mystery, family fun, laughter and much more with highlights including the award winning Bollywood playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan and world renowned illusionist David Blaine.
Adding to the ultimate in summer entertainment will be an Arab Stars Showcase featuring Middle Eastern favorite Mohammad Assaf, Ahmed El Bayed and Mohammed Al-Dairi, the most popular Emirati cartoon Freej Live: Abood’s Dream will be on stage for a full-length production, and the hilarious mash up of Middle Eastern comedians at the United Nations of Comedy II, with Nemr Abou Nassar, Aron Kader, Mo Amer, Fahad Al Butairi, Khaled Khalafalla, Amir K and Sammy Obeid, not to mention the largest World Cup screenings to be held in Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi Summer Season Event Line Up
31 July – 2 August – Freej Live: Abood’s Dream
From the 31st July till the 2nd August, Emirates Palace will be hosting the full-length show Freej Live: Abood’s Dream, a locally-produced cartoon which focuses on the hilarious antics of the main character, Abood. The fun filled traditional family theater experience with a local cultural twist will be entertaining local crowds at multiple times per day (2pm, 5pm).
14 August – Arab Stars Showcase
For one night only on 14th August, FLASH Entertainment will be bring to the UAE some of the best musical talent and past winners of the Arab Idol, Arabs Got Talent, and The Voice Middle East to perform at the Emirates Palace. The Middle East’s Asaroukh (“The Rocket”) Mohammed Assaf will be charming the Capital once again as one of the performers. With his recent global debut at the FIFA Congress opening ceremony on June 10, Mohammed will be joined by popular Arab’s Got Talent stars, Ahmed El Bayed and Mohammed Al-Dairi. Collectively, the trio has over 28 million hits on You Tube.
21 – 23 August – David Blaine: Real or Illusion?
For the first time in the Middle East, the world-renowned illusionist and endurance artist, David Blaine, will be making an exclusive appearance in Abu Dhabi at the Emirates Palace for three performances from the 21st to 23rd of August. The thrill seeking artist, who made his name as a performer of street and close-up magic, will be attempting life-threatening feats, with a grand finale stunt not to be missed. David is globally recognized as one the top illusionists, with his Street Magic You Tube video being watched by over 38 million people.
15 August – Bollywood Sensation Sunidhi Chauhan
One of the most popular Bollywood playback superstar, Sunidhi Chauhan will serenade attendees with her lyrical voice and fans will be entertained in true Bollywood style with Sunidhi’s energetic dance troupe as they present an enthralling spectacle. With over 110,000 Facebook fans in the UAE alone, and 12.2 million global Facebook fans, tickets for this event are expected to sell-out immediately.
28 – 29 August – United Nations of Comedy II
Finally, to close off the eventful season and to follow-up on a successful Summer Fest 2013 performance, the United Nations of Comedy will return to the UAE for its second installment, comprised of exciting new group of sidesplitting comedians who all share a common tie to the region. This year will be even bigger with seven of the biggest acts in the global comedy industry performing two live full-length comedy performances on the 28th and 29th of August. The line-up includes Nemr Abou Nassar, Aron Kader, Mo Amer, Fahad Al Butairi, Khaled Khalafalla, Amir K and Sammy Obeid.
The long list of electrifying events comes in addition to the already announced, action-filled World Football Celebrations. Leading the celebrations will be Abu Dhabi’s largest FIFA World Cup viewing venue, catering for every member of the family with countless activities for every age group held at the du Forum, Yas Island from the 12th June till the 13th of July.
