To mark the month of Ramadan this year, Enshaa PSC, a premium developer and hospitality company, is lending support to Model Support Services (MSS) – a UAE Community Development Authority approved, non-profit organisation that provides charitable assistance to labour camp workers in the UAE.
Over the course of this Ramadan, the campaign is helping MSS provide daily Iftar meals to more than 13,200 workers across 24 labour camps in Sharjah and Dubai.
To contribute to the campaign, Enshaa has encouraged its Group employees to make donations at specially placed donation boxes at their work premises and also volunteer their time by being a part of the Enshaa Group teams serving Iftar meals at labour camp locations. MSS is entirely reliant upon such efforts by volunteers and philanthropists to achieve its goals.
Raza Jafar, CEO of Enshaa PSC, said: “Social responsibility is a deeply ingrained value at Enshaa, and we want to encourage all our employees to give back to the community. Giving them the time and space to engage in charitable work is therefore of paramount importance. We’ve tried to do this by raising awareness of the valuable work carried out by MSS and urging our employees to donate as much as time and money as they possibly can.”
He added: “We are delighted to be supporting this wonderful initiative, which has provided Iftar meals to many thousands of labour camp workers over the past four years. To share with people in less privileged circumstances than ourselves encapsulates the spirit of the month of Ramadan.”
MSS solely focuses its UAE activities on charitable assistance to labour camp workers. It operates throughout the year and across four different platforms: Basic Needs Assistance, Medical Care, Legal Aid, and Education Scholarships.
