As an added level of employee development, Shangri-La also sends their employees to the world famous Shangri-La Academy in Hong Kong where they attend intensive skill development courses for up to a month in duration.
Commenting on the career development provided by the Shangri-La, Nasser Al Waheibi, Service Manager of F&B Banquets joined the resort as a trainee whilst a student of the Oman Tourism College in 2006. Over the last eight years his career progression has taken him from Service Associate in Food and Beverage to Service Manager, an experience he relates to be greatly fulfilling.
