OITE Trade Fairs is pleased to announce the 2nd edition of the International Travel & Hospitality Show will be held from 14th-16th December 2014 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre. ITHS 2014 will connect you to multiple investment and business opportunities in Oman’s luxury, leisure and business tourism industry as well as surrounding sectors.
The coming years look extremely positive for Oman’s travel and hospitality sectors. The WTTC annual report indicates Oman will lead the Middle East in terms of growth in the travel and tourism sector in 2014. Hotel Investment opportunities are estimated at $20 Bn primarily in operating, marketing and management. Growth of the MICE segment will push the business travel market after completion of the $1bn Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre in Muscat. In terms of Cruise Ship Tourism, cruise passengers are likely to surpass 300,000 passengers by 2015. An expansion of the airport including construction of a new terminal with initial capacity of 12m passengers per year will be completed in 2015. Oman expects to attract 12 million visitors annually by 2020. By 2024, Travel & Tourism is forecast to support 116,000 jobs (8.4% of total employment).
In keeping with these figures that highlight Oman’s potential as the emerging luxury, leisure and business destination, this year ITHS 2014 will highlight developments and investments in the industry, explore incentives and market drivers and connect decision makers through a high-scale conference, business matchmaking roundtables and an exclusive exhibition.
