Oman’s first luxury resort on the Jabal Akhdar mountain has opened today its doors for guests, Times of Oman has reported. Set 2,000 metres above sea level, the resort will provide access to one of the sultanate’s most spectacular and untapped regions. “The resort is not 100% complete now. We have 86 rooms in total. But one fourth of it is ready for guests now,” Jork Bosselaar, general manager of Alila Jabal Akhdar, told the daily. Once ready, the luxury property, owned by Omran, will feature a total of 84 suites and two Jabal villas, along with a cliff-side restaurant, outdoor and indoor pools, Spa Alila and fitness facilities, as well as event spaces.
