Saudi Haj operators warned against hiking prices

The Saudi Haj ministry has warned that it would take strict action against Haj companies who are found raising hotel prices for domestic pilgrims during this year’s Haj pilgrimage, Arab News has reported. The ministry began early allocation of Haj accommodation, in order to maintain price stability and has warned facilities to keep prices affordable. It did not elaborate on the type of penalties erring facilities will incur.
