Sharaf Travel Consortium, one of the top 10 travel management companies in the UAE, announced the completion of a three-tier ISO certification in quality management, environmental management and health and safety.
The UAE’s homegrown travel specialty group, which includes Sharaf Travel Services, Sharaf Travels and Sharaf Tours, received the ISO 9001-2008 /ISO 14001-2004/OHSAS 18001/2007 following an 7-month process to improve customer experience and employee satisfaction and health.
V. Jayaram, Managing Director, Sharaf Travel said the company pursued the three standards aligned to its own priorities.
“The ISO 9001:2008, a quality management standard, is linked to benefits for all stakeholders, including operational efficiency and superior financial performance. The ISO 14001: 2004 environmental management will help us reduce our environmental impact, including reducing waste and resource consumption, and the OHSAS 18001:2007 standard focuses on our employee and customer health and safety by championing a safe and healthy working environment,” Mr. Jayaram said.
