UAE editor wins Hotelandrest tourism prize

UAE editor has won the tourism prize in a contest sponsored by the Abu Dhabi-based website.

Ibrahim Al Thuhli, publisher and editor in chief of Asfaar (travel) magazine, said, he was pleased to win the prize which involves a free one night stay at Le Vendom Beirut hotel.

Sales and marketing director at Le Vendome and Phoenicia hotels handed the prize to Mr. Al Thuhli at Lebanon’s stand at the Arabian Travel Market ATM 2014 in Dubai. Present at the ceremony were Phoenicia’s general manager Georg Weinlaender and other hotel executives and media delegates.

The website’s manager Haneen Al Dawoud said, “Mr. Al Thuhli won the prize from among more than 5,000 contesters and wishing good luck to the participants in the next competition, which was launched by the site this week.”

She noted, “The contest is intended to promote tourism in the UAE and urged site visitors to take part in such events and to explore UAE tourism and cultural sites.”
