Integrated project and programme management consultancy Faithful+Gould has appointed Mark Shea as head of hospitality for the Middle East to support its expansion in the hospitality sector.
Mark has been in the industry for 20 years, most recently as head of hotels and resorts for Aecom (Davis Langdon) across Europe, where he was responsible for delivering project, cost and commercial management for numerous large-scale hospitality developments. Mark also provided a strategic link to the Middle East, drawing on previous experience from working in the region.
Mark’s appointment follows strong growth in Faithful+Gould’s Middle East business thanks to key project wins in the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, and supported by the company’s acquisition of project management consultancy Confluence in 2013.
Campbell Gray, Faithful+Gould’s managing director for the Middle East, said: “We have strong foundations in the hospitality and large mixed-use development sectors and are looking to capitalise on this as the market continues to grow and develop. Our clients in the region want the very best outcomes from their investments, which is creating strong demand for high quality project, programme and cost management support. Mark has a fantastic track record and will be a great asset to the team – it is testament to our reputation that we’re consistently able to attract such talented, driven and ambitious individuals.”
Mark, based in Faithful+Gould’s UAE office, added: “I’ve really bought into Faithful+Gould’s vision for developing its business in the Middle East and I’m looking forward to playing my part. The region’s hospitality sector is probably the most exciting in the world right now but it’s also extremely competitive, so if we’re able to consistently add value to our clients’ projects we’ll be in a great position to do well.”
