Marina Hotel Kuwait recently participated in the Horeca Kuwait 2014 exhibition for Hospitality and Food for third consecutive year. The culinary competition, which was organized for chefs, attracted a large number of participants from across the leading hotels in Kuwait, food and beverage sector, as well as food companies that participated in the exhibition.
The three day event saw the participation of five chefs from Marina Hotel Kuwait who attended the different categories with great interest and enthusiasm. The participating chef’s were Chef Wael Alkhlif –Executive Sous Chef, Chef Niroshan Sanjeewa Makawita Liyanage –Junior Sous Chef, Chef Dinidu Kumara Silva Murukkuwadura –Chef De Partie, Chef Joseph Kashoo- Chef De Partie and Edirimunige Jagath Kumara De Silva –Commi 1. The Chef’s won 3 gold medals in mezza and sushi categories and 2 silver medals in the food basket competition.

A multi disciplinary three day event, the HORECA exhibition attracted a large number of visitors. HORECA Kuwait is a comprehensive event covering the hospitality, catering and food industry sectors in Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). It is organized by the Leaders Group for Consulting & Development in cooperation with Hospitality Services of Lebanon.
