A delegation from Abu Dhabi Customs paid a visit to Dubai Customs, in an effort to reinforce communication with government departments. The visit was meant to get an overview of the activities and procedures executed at Dubai Customs.
The delegation was received by Mr. Khalil Saqer Bin Gharib, Director of Corporate Communication at Dubai Customs, along with a number of employees from the Communication Department. The visitors were briefed by Mr. Khalil on the day-to-day operation and different processes at DC.
On the other side, Abu Dhabi Customs’ deputation comprised Mrs. Aisha Al Hamli, Head of Corporate Communication, Mr. Hazza’a Jamil Al Zubaidi, Marketing and Corporate Communication and Ahmed El Awad, Communications and Marketing Department.
“Meeting the delegation from Abu Dhabi Customs illustrates our commitment for further collaboration in the future. It is both vital and constructive to have such meetings to increase cohesion between government agencies,” Mr. Khalil Saqer said commenting on the visit.
Dubai Customs’ presentation covered activities from various fields within communication such as CSR, Media & Public Relations, Government Partnerships, Events & Creative Services, Social Media, and Web Services.
In depth, the presentation gave an overview of key fundamentals in the area of communication in terms of event planning, coordination, and technology. The presentation covered several aspects of Dubai Customs’ web services, various social media channels and how they’re used. The presentation was insightful in terms of its extensive coverage of business domains, procedures and implemented methodologies, action plans, performance indicators and more. The presentation gave a vibrant picture of Dubai Customs’ efforts and experience in all aspects of corporate communication.
As a token of appreciation between both parties, there was an exchange of trophies at the end of the visit. Mr. Khalil Saqer received a trophy from the delegation on behalf of Dubai Customs, and presented the delegation with a crystal trophy.
Concluding the visit, the delegation thanked Mr. Khalil Saqer for the presentation and lauded Dubai Customs efforts in adopting world-class best practices in the field of communication. They were satisfied with the great outcome of the visit and both parties stressed the importance of planning future visits in order to work together for countless mutual benefit.
Mrs. Aisha Al Hamli, Head of Corporate Communication at Abu Dhabi Customs, stressed that this visit comes within the framework of strengthening the bonds of mutual cooperation between the two sides, pointing out that there is a permanent and effective coordination between them under the Memorandum of Understanding signed earlier between Abu Dhabi Customs and Dubai Customs.
Al Hamli also underscored the importance of exchanging such visits to brief both parties on the experiences of the other in the field of media and information exchange, which would enhance Customs work and reinforce bilateral communication.
