Etihad Cargo, part of United Arab Emirates (UAE) national airline Etihad Airways, has unveiled a new service whereby UAE residents who book personal cargo shipments can now earn Etihad Guest Miles and Tier Miles.
The new initiative is aimed at rewarding customers who send personal effects by air cargo, including furniture, automobiles, household objects, or even pets.
Etihad Guest Miles are earned based on the type of shipment and route flown. In addition, members of Etihad Guest Silver, Gold or Gold Elite tiers will earn bonus miles.
Members of Etihad Guest are able to redeem the miles they have earned for flights and upgrades, or can choose from more than 7,000 items on the Etihad Guest Rewards Shop.
Alternatively, customers can convert miles to cash with PointsPay to spend at over 30 million outlets worldwide.
