The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange General Index (ADXGI) fell by 1.12 per cent to close at 4,882.79 points on Thursday, March 6. Earlier in the day, scores of flights had to be diverted from Abu Dhabi international airport to other airports in the region after dense fog paralysed the civil aviation hub and most rods in the UAE capital. The shares of Dana Gas dived by 2.33 per cent to AED0.84, a one-week low. Earlier in the day, the Sharjah-based energy firm said its profit for the year 2013 amounted to AED571 million ($156m), down from AED605m ($165m) in the previous year.
