Canada-based FLYHT Aerospace Solutions has said it has won a contract from Middle East-based operations group of an international cargo airline for the Automated Flight Information Reporting System (AFIRS) 228B. According to the terms of the contract, the Calgary-headquartered firm is to install the AFIRS 228B on four Boeing 757 aircraft to provide real-time flight data monitoring. It will provide equipment and services to the airline over a three-year contract with automatic yearly renewals after the initial term. Installations are anticipated to begin in the third quarter of 2014. FLYHT did not name the client, nor disclosed the value of the deal.
