Qatar has announced the “inaugural landing” at the country’s new Hamad International Airport (HIA) is to take place at 10am today, Gulf Times has reported. The first commercial landing at HIA will be at 11:15 am today, the report said. Some 10 airlines, including budget carriers, will move operations to HIA from 11am today. They are Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Fly Dubai, Air Arabia, Iran Air, Air India Express, Yemenia Yemen Airlines, Pakistan International Airlines, Nepal Airlines, Syrian Airlines and Pegasus Airlines. On May 27, all airlines, including the national carrier Qatar Airways, will entirely move to the new Hamad International Airport (HIA).
