Royal Jet’s relentless pursuit of product and service excellence has once again been recognised by the industry with the ‘Business Aviation Operator of the Year’ award at the 7th Annual Aviation Business Awards, held on the sidelines of the Dubai Airshow 2013.
Shane O’Hare, President and CEO of Royal Jet was inducted into the Aviation Business Awards Hall of Fame for his astute corporate leadership and pioneering the company into the list of the world’s best private aviation operators.
The awards now add up to 20 in the last seven years for the Abu Dhabi-based international luxury flight services company.
In his acceptance speech O’Hare thanked His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Chairman of Royal Jet for his visionary approach and his continuous pursuit of excellence, as he accepted the two awards on behalf of Royal Jet at a glittering awards ceremony held at the Westin Mena Seyahi Hotel in Dubai.
“This recognition would not have been possible without the far-sighted vision of our chairman, the full support of the Board of Directors, the shareholders and the dynamism of our talented team members,” O’Hare addressed the distinguished gathering of aviation leaders.
“I thank the Royal Jet staff for professionally delivering a bespoke service excellence daily to our VIP customers in every corner of the world. I dedicate these awards to the entire team at Royal Jet.
“We are committed in delivering the highest standards of quality service to today’s sophisticated business traveller and our plans for the future are all centred around the comfort of our guests,” he added.
O’Hare also explained how fortunate the audience and he were to be working in the UAE’s aviation sector: “We should be thankful to the leadership of the country in providing a visionary framework that enables companies like Royal Jet to profitably grow, innovate, prosper and set new standards.”
In the last 12 months, Royal Jet provided the market with unparalleled range of luxurious international private charter flights, launched a luxury vacations division, commenced new FBO operations in the Seychelles Islands and market-leading services and travel packages through tactical partnerships.
The 2013 edition of the Aviation Business Awards included 15 categories in total, which covered the airline, airport and cargo sectors, along with supporting niches. Nominations were invited online and were assessed by a prestigious panel of judges, selected from within the Middle East aerospace industry.
Royal Jet announced at the airshow that it has commenced its fleet renewal tender process which will allow them to provide their VIP customers with a totally new offering and further expand its network. The total value for the fleet replacement could reach US$ 700 million at current list prices with the initial order for seven large aircraft, two super to mid-size aircraft and two corporate sized jets.
The Abu Dhabi-based company expects to end the year flying to over 320 airports in 135 countries through an estimated 2,500 flights and above.
