Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) has reported an increase in the number of passengers for February 2014, Arab News has reported. Saudia transported 2,203,680 passengers, up 14% over the same month in 2013. Of the total, there were 1,092,331 domestic flight passengers which is 54% of the total and an increase of 10% during the same month in 2013, while international flights carried 1,005,308 passengers, an increase of 18.61% over last year. “We have increased the seating capacity on our aircraft and the number of flights. We are helped in this regard by the new fleet, of which we have received 73 aircraft so far out of the 90 aircraft ordered from Airbus and Boeing,” said assistant executive director of Saudia, Abdullah Al-Ajhar.
