Dubai Airports expects DWC passenger capacity to double in three years

Paul Griffiths, chief executive of Dubai Airports has said passenger capacity at Al Maktoum International at Dubai World Central (DWC) could be set to nearly double to 12 million over the next three years, Gulf News has reported. “The first phase will be to expand the existing passenger terminal building to probably go between 10 and 12 million [passengers a year],” Griffiths told the daily. The current capacity is between five and seven million passengers a year.
