Etihad boosts Chengdu service

Etihad Airways has announced it is to increase the frequency of its Abu Dhabi-Chengdu service from five-flights-a-week to daily, effective March 30, 2014, Gulf News has reported. The service was launched on December 15, 2011, to the third destination to be served by the Abu Dhabi-based carrier in China. Passenger volumes on the Chengdu route increased by 25% last year compared to 2012 levels, while cargo and mail volumes were 19% higher.
