Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has stepped up the efficiency and effectiveness of its mechanism for identifying, analysing and coping with recurrent accident spots in the emirate, Trade Arabia has reported. “The new mechanism classifies recurrent accident sites through identifying specific areas in accordance with the requisites of the study underway; which provides information about areas that have the highest frequency of causalities, and the number of traffic accidents recorded over three successive years in order to study and assess these data by specialist engineers of the Agency during their site visits where they can identify the required engineering procedures capable of coping with the site based on technical standards and globally accepted scientific approaches,” said Maitha bin Udai, CEO of RTA Licensing Agency.
