Ajman hosts German university trainees
A new stage of an internship project allocated for trainees from German university students was launched by Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) to cover all hospitality sector services.
According to Jawaher Al Matroushi, the Head of ATDD Training Section, the project comes as part of an integral training program involving all tourism attractions in Ajman.
“Two International Tourism students from the German Cologne University Business School are involved in the academic and practical training,” she said, noting that: “ATDD is implementing this phase in cooperation with Ramada Hotel and Suites Ajman.”
“The training plan covers the various hospital sector operations, in addition to the planning and organization of events, marketing and promotion,” she added. “The program serves the ATDD strategic goal of leveraging tourism partnerships and alliances to attract tourists from various countries and nationalities,” Al Matroushi said.
The idea of this program was initiated when Ajman delegation to ITB Berlin 2013 received many requests for internships from German students seeking their bachelor degrees in a number of specifications related to the tourism industry in a number of German universities.
The first stage of the internship program was executed by ATDD in cooperation with the Ajman Palace Hotel and Ramada Hotel and Suites Ajman. Two students from the German International University of Applied Science of Bonn and HAW-Hamburg of Hamburg were involved.
