Citymax set to add 700 hotel rooms to portfolio by 2017
Three properties currently under development across the country to be completed by 2017, adding 700 rooms to its portfolio, UAE-based Citymax Hotels expects. New hotels are planned for Business Bay in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah, while an additional tower will be built at Citymax Hotels Al Barsha. All three developments have been previously reported by Hotelier Middle East. The properties will have a similar look and will each incorporate features such as a roof top pool, bar and sun deck. Room interiors are currently under design and will all be an average of 25 square metres in size. “With mid-market hotel development high on the agenda for both government and private sectors in the UAE, Citymax Hotels is currently expanding its successful business model within the UAE with plans to reach out into the GCC in the next few years,” said Citymax COO Russel Sharpe.
