Radisson Blu Hotel, Muscat appoints new HR Manager
The Radisson Blu Hotel, Muscat announced the appointment of Fatma Said Mohamed Al Sulaimani as its new Human Resource Manager.
Fatma has worn several hats during her six-year career. She discovered her passion for HR two years ago, and has experience in managing key aspects of Human Resources like talent acquisition, performance management, mobility, strategic HR management, compensation and benefits, organizational effectiveness, talent development and employee relations. Prior to joining the Radisson Blu Hotel, Muscat, Fatma was responsible for marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility at a marketing communications agency.
Fatma began her career in 2008 as a leadership trainee with the Zubair Automotive Group, following which she handled diverse responsibilities within the Group’s Marketing and HR teams. She has also briefly interned as a marketing executive for an Australia-based firm.
And that’s not all. Fatma is an entrepreneur who co-founded and runs an event management firm. The gamut of experience she brings to the table at a relatively young age makes her an ideal candidate for the Radisson Blu Hotel, Muscat, according to General Manager Marius Wolmarans. He said, “Today, HR has become a core business function, especially in the hospitality sector, which thrives on getting and retaining the right talent. HR managers need to have a 360-degree perspective in their roles. With her experience in HR, marketing, event management and CSR, Fatma will play a key role in driving our organisational strategy. Fatma holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a distinction in Marketing from the Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat. She is currently studying to obtain a Master’s degree in Global Human Resources Management from Liverpool University, UK. In addition, Fatma is undertaking the Global Professional in Human Resource (GPHR) course on Integrated Management Training & Consultancy.
