The UK warns against travel within Egypt

The UK’s has issued a safety advice for travelling within Egypt after several attacks on tourists. The Foreign Office has advised against all travel to the Governorate of North Sinai. The office has also cautioned against all but essential travel to the Governorates of Beni Suef, Minya, Asyut and Sohag. South Sinai should also be avoided, with the exception of the area within the Sharm el Sheikh perimeter barrier, which includes the airport, Sharm de Maya, Hadaba, Naama Bay, Sharks Bay and Nabq.
