Eng. Faisal Saleh Al-Mousa appointed as acting CEO for NUPCO

Eng. Faisal is graduated from King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran majoring in Computer Science & Engineering.

Eng. Faisal is an expelled expert in Information & Communication Technology and has extensive experiences in management and leadership of private and governmental organizations. After his graduation he has served in several posts naming some: Director of Key Accounts Sales in STC and as Director of Country Sales for the global acting company General Electric Information Services for Saudi and Bahrain. In these positions he was responsible for the successful implementation of many IT supported E-Commerce Projects for major Saudi companies.

He has participated in many local, regional and international conferences, seminars and exhibitions for Information & Communication Technology, for E-Commerce & Trading for governmental and private organizations.

Currently he is working as Director General of the Saudi EDI, a governmental project for national e-trade owned by the Public Investment Fund. He is also a Board Member of Al Elm Co. for Information Security. In addition to being a member of the Executive Committee of the Asian Countries Federation to Facilitate International Business (AFACT) he is representing the Kingdom in this international organization.

The comprehensive technical experiences in implementation and management of E-Commerce solutions for major governmental projects of Eng. Faisal will be beneficial for the development of the NUPCO start up.

NUPCO will provide national wide unified E-Procurement and Supply Chain Management for Medical Supplies including Pharmaceuticals, Medical Equipment and Disposals for all governmental health care service providers in Saudi Arabia.

The purpose of NUPCO is to improve the quality and the economic efficiency of supplying the governmental health care providers by standardization of products, unified price, purchase management and a total transparency over the whole supply and distribution chain. The company will be responsible for a cost effective management of all processes of purchase, procurement, storage, delivery, inventory, and quality assurance for all governmental healthcare providers.

This challenging task includes the development of effective and commercial transparent relations to the global acting supplier industry and the demand management of the national healthcare providers.

NUPCO will own a national wide network of warehouses and distributions centre which will be equipped with the most advanced techniques for electronic supported procurement and Supply Chain Management for Healthcare facilities. This include also the development of optimized transportation solutions to secure the delivery of Pharmaceuticals, Medical Equipment and Disposals to all health care providers in the regions of the Kingdom in time and accordingly to their needs.

That comprehensive scope of tasks needs the development and implementation of a unified E-Commerce Platform for Healthcare – a prerequisite for which Eng. Faisal will bring his outstanding experience in this field as a valuable asset for NUPCO to the table.
