Imagenation Abu Dhabi and Ashok Amritraj’s Hyde Park Entertainment expanded upon their existing partnership by setting up Hyde Park Imagenation Singapore in October 2009 and by creating a strategic alliance with Singapore’s Media Development Authority (MDA). Mirch and Chang will work alongside Hyde Park International President Mimi Steinbauer, Hyde Park EVP Patrick Aiello and Imagenation Abu Dhabi COO Stefan Brunner.

Imagenation Abu Dhabi COO Stefan Brunner, said:

“Our presence in Abu Dhabi, Singapore and Los Angeles reflects Hyde Park Imagenation’s overall strategy and commitment to the global film industry. Jason and Yee Yeo will work together with Hyde Park’s Los Angeles-based team to progress the company’s mandate of developing, financing and producing cross-cultural commercial films.”

Hyde Park Imagenation aims to create up to 20 feature films which will open a window on Middle Eastern and Asian culture, enabling audiences around the world to look in and appreciate the region’s rich and increasingly dynamic heritage. Chang and Mirch will be looking to find commercially viable projects that stretch the gamut from Bollywood to Hollywood — creating compelling content for audiences worldwide.

Mirch previously worked as the Co-Head of Feature and Television Development at Storyline Entertainment where he developed a slate of over 30 projects, including Damn Yankees (New Line), Golden Gate (Summit Entertainment), and Footloose (Paramount). On the television side, Mirch was instrumental in developing pilots for CBS, FBC, and NBC, as well as several movies and mini-series for cable networks.

Prior to Hyde Park Imagenation Singapore, Chang worked at Christine Vachon’s Killer Films as an associate producer on Katherine Dieckmann’s Motherhood starring Uma Thurman, Anthony Edwards and Minnie Driver. Most recently, he served as the executive producer on Lullaby for Pi, Benoît Philippon’s directorial debut starring Rupert Friend, Clémence Poésy and Forest Whitaker.

Chang will be attending the Hong Kong Filmart/Hong Kong Asia Film Financing Forum from March 22-24 — sourcing for potential projects on behalf of Hyde Park Imagenation.
