June 28, 2014 9:56 am

Canon Middle East has responded to the regional demand for efficient print solutions by strengthening its business-to-business (B2B) portfolio with the launch of 13 new products.

The ‘Canon for Business’ launch event provided a platform for the company to highlight its B2B regional strategy and showcase its innovative range of products catered to the evolving needs of regional industries including banking, hospitality, education and graphic arts.

“The business-to-business division is targeting exponential growth over the coming years and the ‘Canon for Business’ launch event is a very important milestone in that journey. Through this launch event we are making a bold statement of our focus, direction and also reiterate our commitment to the B2B market in the region. This will provide the foundations for growth that we have built into our plans for the coming years,” said Naoshi Yamada, Deputy Managing Director, Canon Middle East.

During the event various stakeholders were shown how the full portfolio of Canon’s print solutions, services and value-added support, can help them grow their businesses. Onsite product demonstrations enabled attendees to experience the product benefits and also fully understand how it would enable them to grow their printing business.

Commenting on the launch event, Hendrik Verbrugghe, Marketing Director of Canon Middle East, said: “We’re delighted to be able to welcome so many of our regional customers to ‘Canon for Business’. We have launched 13 new innovative industry solutions across the business, including toner, inkjet and cut sheet. All these products are very strategic to the Middle East market and strengthens our proposition as the leading B2B solutions provider.”

Product Highlights:
Professional Print: imagePRESS C800 Series
Demonstrating its ongoing commitment to provide print service providers (PSPs) with innovative technology to address their ever evolving needs, Canon Middle East launched a new colour production cut-sheet press, the imagePRESS C800 series. The imagePRESS C800 series incorporates both innovative technology to deliver advanced levels of print quality, and versatility in both commercial and in-house print environments.

Wide Format Print: Océ Arizona 6100 Series
Attendees of the event were also briefed on the Océ Arizona 6100 series, an entirely new Arizona series printer platform designed for sign and display print service providers.

Delivering high speed without compromising on print quality, the Océ Arizona 6100 caters to a new group of customers who require high-volume rigid media printing capacity. It delivers award-winning print quality with the broad application range of true flatbed architecture, enabling them to push the boundaries of their service offerings. Designed as a dedicated flatbed system, the series features an extra-large 2.5m x 3.05m vacuum table to keep media and objects stationary during printing for optimal print quality and rigid media application versatility.

Large Format Print: imagePROGRAF range
Two new 6-colour large format printers including imagePROGRAF iPF6400SE and iPF8400SE designed to focus on the features that are essential for the in-house production of posters with lower total cost of ownership were showcased at the event.

In the corporate, retail and hospitality markets, in particular, there is a growing demand for large format printers to enable users to produce good quality posters at low cost in-house, reducing their reliance on outsourcing print and allowing them to maintain total control over when and what they print. The easy-to-use iPF6400SE and iPF8400SE clearly address these specific needs by allowing in-house users to economically print attention-grabbing materials the instant they’re needed for new promotions.

Catering to the evolving market demand for efficient and cost-effective document management solutions, Canon introduced four different imageFORMULA scanning solutions including DRM 160, DRM 1060, DRC 225 and P 215 II.

Among the hero model introduced included Canon’s DR-M1060, the smallest A3 scanner with a unique U-turn path. The model emphasizes user-friendly operations with full front side operability. The ultra-compact machine fits any location with strategic pricing that allows higher productivity and reliability for Canon customers.
