Fluke Networks is equipped with the means to deliver on Dubai’s plans of a ‘Smart City’. Keeping up with the vision of the leaders, Dubai’s bold ambitions of transforming itself into a ‘Smart City’ have been a clarion call for several stakeholders.

Speaking at the press briefing ahead of Gitex Technology Week, Werner Heeren, Regional Sales Director, Middle East Africa and Turkey – Fluke Networks said, “It is a fantastic concept to keep the whole city connected. Government services could be accessed from almost anywhere, which is brilliant for the citizens, but could be a challenge for the authorities. That is where Fluke Networks can play its part. As demonstrated with the DWTC project, we are more than capable of deploying a large network wireless solution. Also, we possess the wherewithal to power the entire emirate with Wi-Fi , obviously we are playing across different segments, which means we are more than equipped to deal with its installation, performance management, security and any sort of troubleshooting. But, more importantly we can help in offloading the 3G/4G networks onto the Wi-Fi.”

The company won analyst recognition earlier this year when it was recognized as a leader in Gartner’s Network Monitoring Performance and Diagnostics (NPMD) Magic Quadrant. Market analysis conducted by Gartner noted the growing interest in the NPMD market, also referred to as Application-aware Network Performance Management (AANPM). Fluke Networks will be demonstrating its AANPM solution in the Networking and Security Hall 1 Stand 120.

“Gitex is by far the largest exhibition in the Middle East, including Africa to display our brands in the market, which is a huge market. Moreover our distributors, channel partners and large accounts come there too, which enables us to meet with them. Arguably, it is the most important event in the year for our company. It helps our customers, no doubt, as they get to experience our products first hand with live demos” added Werner.

Fluke Networks will also be releasing a survey based on cloud computing versus physical servers. The region has experienced an influx of virtualization as an increasing number of multi-national companies have opted for the cloud. However, managing the IT infrastructure and telecommunication needs is paramount, and, industry-leaders Fluke networks are playing their part in keeping the region abreast with the latest in networking technologies.

At GITEX 2014, Fluke Networks will be showcasing its latest products, including, the company’s AANPM solution, the integrated Visual TruView™and OptiView®XG which was launched in April 2014.

“We are extremely buoyed to showcase the international launch of two new software-based versions of the highly rated wireless network testing and troubleshooting solution, AirCheck™ Wi-Fi Tester for Windows® and AirCheck™ Wi-Fi Tester for Android™, at GITEX 2014, thus signifying the intent and purpose with which we approach the region,” added Gerhard.

Fluke Networks offers a huge range of products, in UAE, that include Visual Truview – a Unified Application and Network Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting Appliance that Solves Problems FAST Application Performance Monitoring, Optiview – dedicated tool for automated network and application analysis and AirMagnet – a wireless troubleshooter.
