Red Sea Housing, market leader in the manufacturing of modular buildings, recently adopted Microsoft Office 365 to prevent theft of business information via email hacking. The staff was earlier keeping all the confidential information locally on their computers. Therefore the compnay was seeking a robust, scalable communication, collaboration and information management platform to manage its global expansion and operations.

In collaboration with LiveRoute, Partner, Microsoft, Red Sea Housing deployed Office 365 Exchange, Lync online as well as OneDrive for Business and Sharepoint online.

The company information was always at a high risk as it was not backed up and only accessible when staff was in the office. This dilemma was addressed by deploying OneDrive for Businesses, enabling access to information from any device. The deployment not only improved employee productivity but also helped the company to maintain a backup data of all the crucial documents.

In addition to the issue of accessing information, the Red Sea Housing Staff was also facing a problem in storing and sharing information for departmental use. As a result the information was not being shared between teams and departments. Office 365 was successful in resolving the issue, two types of information were created to address the problem, one was information for department use only and the other was shared information. Both information sets were then further configured to lock down folders and enable a consistent standardized information sharing structure all across the company.

“Red Sea Housing urgently needed a solution for preventing theft of business information via email hacking nearly causing commercial losses. Office365 addressed that immediately” said, Pradeep Parmar, IT, Director, Red Sea Housing.
