Al Mutawa inspects progress in the implementation of administrative offices building at the House of Representatives

MoW’s Assistant Undersecretary for Construction & Maintenance Projects Eng. Mona Al Motawa visited the Administrative Offices Building at the House of Representatives, accompanied by Chief of Supervision Department Eng. Ali Shihab and a number of engineers from the Ministry.

During the visit, Al Motawa explained that progress in the construction works involved in the project are now 26% complete. The 3 storey building covers an area of 2515m2. The ground floor comprises of conference rooms, and a reception area and related facilities. The first and second floors include administrative offices and all related facilities and services.

The new building has been connected to the old building using bridges to facilitate movement between the two buildings and also to maintain the architectural design of the existing building. The building is also provided with a water pumping chamber and another chamber for electricity, mechanical and electrical works, security and safety systems and other external works.

The BD1,042,258 project was awarded to Al Hidaya Contracting, while supervision is done by the Ministry’s Construction Projects Directorate.
