Dubai Municipality starts housing project in Hatta

Dubai Municipality is going to carry out a new housing project in Hatta which includes construction of 32 residences for citizens in the area.
It was announced by Eng. Hussain Nasser Lotah, Director General of Dubai Municipality.

He said the project comes in line with the directives of HH Shaikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al- Maktoum, VP and Prime minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai with regards to projects to provide UAE citizens sufficient and apt housing facilities.

“Dubai Municipality is delighted to carry out this project in tune with the dream of the Dubai Ruler to provide citizens sufficient and high quality housing facilities’, Lootah said.

He added saying that civic body would hand over the houses to a number of Hatta residents as a gift from the Ruler.

He explained that each villa in the project comprises 6 bedrooms, maid room, Majlis and a hall apart from other components of residential villas.
According to him, 29 out of these villas would be constructed with ground and first floors in an area of 330 square meter while the remaining 3 would be built in 165 square meter area having only one storey.

He said, while designing the villas Dubai Municipality was keen on making it with the UAE heritage features which Hatta buildings are characterized with.

He stressed the point that civic body designed the buildings according to the Green Building concepts which are implemented in all government buildings, with the main focus comes on external lightings and water heating be done using solar energy.

He also hinted that there are other projects planned in Hatta of which announcement would be made soon.
