Japan’s Nikken Sekkei awarded Saudi tower contract

Saudi-based Nayef Al-Rajhi Investment has awarded Japanese consulting and engineering firm, Nikken Sekkei, the contract to build a mixed-use tower in Riyadh, which it hopes to be “a masterpiece of architectural and and engineering excellence,” Saudi Gazette has reported. The yet-unnamed tower will be constructed to support efforts to help develop tourism and spur the economic development of the kingdom, said company chairman, Nayef bin Saleh Al Rajhi, without giving further details on the project, or the value of the contract.
