Oman set to roll out real estate national strategy by end-2016

Sultan al Habsi, the secretary-general of Oman’s Supreme Council for Planning has said the government plans to establish a national strategy for the development of the real estate sector, aiming to achieve integration between real estate planning and infrastructure, and to encourage investments and sustainable development in the sector, Muscat Daily has reported. “With real estate development and demographic progress, the sultanate requires the establishment of a national strategy for real estate development, taking into consideration all the aspects of real estate planning,” al Habsi said in his keynote speech at the Oman Real Estate Conference. “Based on international best practices, this strategy shall be established with the wide contribution and coordination of all the concerned authorities.”
