The Pearl-Qatar, one of the most distinguished destinations in Qatar and the region, attracted a large number of residents and visitors to its festive events and activities during Eid Al-Fitr. Families from Qatar and neighboring GCC countries thronged 18 La Croisette where the main Eid event took place, as well as shopping stores, cafes and restaurants in the Island in addition to the newly opened Novo cinema complex.

The diverse activity program organized by United Development Company (UDC), master developer of The Pearl-Qatar, saw children and adults engage in various recreational activities, including caricature drawing and oil on water art, face painting, balloon twisting, bouncing castles, educational games and coloring workshops.

Children further enjoyed activities held in Tickles & Giggles, a venue dedicated for hosting children’s events with stilt walkers, clowns and cartoon characters roving around the celebration area cheering up the audience and taking photos with them.

Attracting more visitors to Qatar was Qatar Tourism Authority’s (QTA) plan this past Eid, as part of its long-term strategy to help diversify Qatar’s economy. To this end, The Pearl-Qatar was a generous host and succeeded in putting together a fascinating mix of activities and attractions in support of QTA’s “Eid Festival”, aimed at motivating family tourism and providing entertainment and suitable activities for patrons of all ages.

In this spirit, Abdulrahim Al Ibrahim, Director of The Pearl-Qatar Central Authority stated, “We thank Qatar Tourism Authority for partnering with The Pearl-Qatar as part of its Eid promotional campaign. The huge turnout and happy faces we have welcomed this past week are enough testimony that we have succeeded in catering fun to our community and that our diligent work and careful choice of activities are rightly geared to reflect Qatar’s genuine heritage and deep rooted culture.”

The Pearl-Qatar occupies a prime location off the coast of Doha’s West Bay and boasts an assortment of residential accommodations for every taste and style. High-end retail and lavish hospitality, three world-class marinas, luxurious amenities and an impressive beachfront have made United Development Company’s (UDC) flagship development as much a landmark destination as it is a holistic experience, blending residential charm with the comfort of an exclusive resort.
