Dubai’s DEWA to build fourth generation of government excellence system

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will build the fourth generation of government excellence system launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to achieve the directives of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council.

The fourth generation of government excellence system aims to bring cutting-edge competencies to government service, and is based on the most advanced standards to ensure that citizens and residents have access to the highest levels of service for their happiness and well-being. It also aims to strengthen the overall competitiveness of the UAE by positioning it at the forefront in all global indicators.

“In line with our vision to become a sustainable innovative world-class utility and complementing the current programmes and plans within the Dubai Plan 2021, the UAE Vision 2021, and the National Agenda 2021 to strengthen government initiatives, DEWA has examined the structure and resources required for the implementation of the fourth generation model. We are fully ready to implement it by working with the government team at the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.

“Through the adoption of the fourth generation of government excellence system, we intend to strengthen innovation and achieve the highest levels of satisfaction and happiness of the people. We will harness creativity and ensure excellence in our daily work to improve performance and efficiency to provide our services at the highest possible international standards and proceed to the advanced stages of excellence and leadership,” added Al Tayer.

“DEWA has included several key objectives within its strategy map with a focus on forward-looking innovation and smart services to consolidate excellence and innovation. This will also promote closer relationships with all stakeholders to achieve common strategic goals.
