Second Smart Home Show to run from 17 to 20 May, 2016 at Al Ain Convention Centre

The second Smart Home Show, an event dedicated to promoting energy conservation in the emirate of Abu Dhabi/ Al Ain City, will run from 17 to 20 May, 2016 at Al Ain Convention Centre (AACC), event organiser Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC) today announced.

Showcasing a wide range of products and household appliances that use energy efficient technologies and systems, the event will seek to raise awareness on the importance of energy efficiency among residents of the Garden City through promoting an environment-friendly lifestyle. Additionally, the Smart Home Show will educate visitors on lifestyle changes that can be implemented towards supporting the sustainability of water and electricity resources in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Mohammed Salem bin Omair Al Shamsi, Managing Director of Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC), said: “Following the great success of the inaugural of the Smart Home Show last year – with its high visitor turnout, impressive participant numbers and the positive feedback it received from both exhibitors and the general public – AADC has transformed the show into an annual platform for promoting rationalisation in energy consumption.

“In convening the event, we seek to achieve our strategic objective of supporting sustainable development in Abu Dhabi by creating an exciting platform to showcase the latest energy-efficient home appliances that will help people utilise resources responsibly and enjoy truly lasting benefits from energy conservation.”

He added: “Smart Home Show 2016 will convene all relevant stakeholders and specialised companies under one umbrella and provide them with an ideal opportunity to showcase the widest range of eco-friendly technologies to generate significant business deals.”

Attracting over 10,000 visitors from across the UAE, the debut version of the show last year generated over AED30 million in sales of energy-efficient products. It attracted prominent companies involved in the manufacture and distribution of the latest eco-friendly household technology and energy-saving systems to showcase their products to the residents of Al Ain.

Hosted in collaboration with Turret Media, Home Smart Show 2016 will spotlight the latest technological innovations in smart home systems, building automation systems, security systems, fire protection systems, water and water facilities management, as well as energy management systems and pool automation solutions, among others.
