Accenture has made a strong commitment to building an inclusive and diverse workforce and considers attracting, retaining and advancing women as critical to being a high-performance business. It has created a number of programs to support female employees, including mentorship, networking opportunities, training and education programs, International Women’s Day celebrations and Defining Success Forums in which leaders share personal stories on how they managed their career journey. With more than 100,000 female professionals, women make up over a third of Accenture’s global workforce.

Established in January 2013, WOMEN ACHIEVE emphasizes seven key ideals that guide companies in creating a supportive work environment for the professional advancement of women. These ideals include: encouraging women to grow through training, shadowing, coaching, mentorship and internship programs, as well as considering female candidates for new opportunities and supporting the advancement of women into leadership positions. WOMEN ACHIEVE also encourages greater participation by women on boards and advocates the fair remuneration of female employees.

Participation in WOMEN ACHIEVE is open to businesses of all sizes. Companies interested in participating can elect to become signatories by contacting AmCham Abu Dhabi. WOMEN ACHIEVE signatories receive a certificate of acknowledgement from AmCham Abu Dhabi for their support and are eligible to use the WOMEN ACHIEVE seal on their communication collateral.
