Bahrain gets highest inflation rate among GCC

Bahrain topped GCC countries in inflation rate while Oman showed the lowest, Gulf News reported. The figures for the six Gulf Cooperation Council countries were released by the Statistical Centre for the Cooperation Council for the Arab Countries of the Gulf for the period ending in June, 2014. Bahrain recorded an inflation rate of 3.10% while in Oman it was just 1.21%. Inflation rates for other GCC countries include Kuwait 2.87%, Qatar 2.80%, Saudi Arabia 2.70% and the United Arab Emirates 2.21%.
