“Bill Nuti is chairman, CEO and president of NCR Corporation. NCR is the global leader in consumer transaction technologies, enabling more than 485 million transactions daily across retail, financial, travel, hospitality, telecom and technology, and small business.

Since joining NCR in 2005, Bill has orchestrated one of the most successful business reinventions in recent history, while transforming the way consumers connect, interact and transact with business. With over a century of legacy and culture at its back, Bill made critical decisions to reinvent NCR over the long term, including shifting the core business model of NCR from hardware to more software and Software as a service (SaaS), spinning-off Teradata, moving the company’s headquarters to Georgia, building a global manufacturing network in five countries, acquiring several high-growth companies in the software and SaaS space, and expanding into new markets, adjacencies and underpenetrated emerging markets.

Bill’s vision to build a best-in-class global organization has not gone unnoticed. He has been heralded by government officials and news organizations for creating advanced manufacturing jobs in the United States. Under Bill’s leadership, NCR built America’s first retrofitted manufacturing facility to receive LEED® certification for environmental sustainability, creating hundreds of jobs in the state of Georgia in the process. Throughout his tenure, NCR has been recognized for its humanitarian contributions with the Red Cross Good Neighbor Award and its commitment to employee training and development with the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) BEST Award.

Prior to joining NCR as CEO in 2005, Bill served as president and CEO of Symbol Technologies. He led a challenging and highly successful turnaround of Symbol, returning the company to profitability for the first time in five years, and increasing revenue growth by 24% from 2002 to 2004. In 2005, he was recognized as the “Best Turnaround Executive” by the American Business Awards.

Bill joined Symbol following more than 10 years at Cisco Systems, where he held positions of increasing responsibility, advancing to the dual role of senior vice president of the company’s Worldwide Service Provider Operations and senior vice president of U.S. Theater Operations, responsible for more than $15 billion of Cisco’s global revenue stream. Prior to that, Bill served as Cisco’s president of Europe, Middle East and Africa and before that, vice president of the Asia/Pacific region.

Bill is a frequent speaker at high-profile business and technology events. He also is an established enterprise and business policy leader in Washington, D.C., where he founded a CEO policy forum on tax reform and competitiveness. He also spoke at the White House Forum on “Strategy for American Innovation.” He is a member of the Georgia Institute of Technology advisory board, a Long Island University trustee and serves on the board of directors for United Continental Holdings and Coach, Inc.

International Forum
Through staging Dubai International Project Management Forum, RTA seeks to shed more light on the achievements of Dubai as a leading city in the field of project management as it adopts world-class practices in undertaking a series of mega projects which captured the world’s attention such as Burj Khalifa and Dubai Metro as well as giant ports and iconic architectural projects to name a few. Dubai culminated these successes by claiming the privilege to host the World Expo 2020; the largest and most reputed exhibition of its kind worldwide. This showpiece is poised to bring about immense economic return directly or indirectly. Initial studies indicate that hosting Expo will create 277 thousand jobs in the UAE during the period 2013–2020; each of these job prospects has the potential to bring sustainability to about 50 jobs in the surrounding geographical belt extending from Africa up to south Asia via the Arab world. During the 6-month period of Expo, the number of visitors is expected to hit about 25 million visitors, 70% of whom from abroad. Moreover, Expo will open the door for more investments in the region and the world over, particularly in the infrastructure for accommodating this huge influx of visitors.

The Forum will focus on the vital role of Project Management in streamlining and coordinating work procedures in public and private companies, and managing project programs in order to generate coherence and coordination between various projects and accordingly realize their common objectives.

DIPMF will host an elite lineup of prominent international speakers who have extensive expertise in project management and represent various sectors. The event is expected to attract more than 2000 individuals, and 32 speakers, and hold 7 discussion panels, 6 parallel sessions, and 5 workshops.

The Forum will discuss several topics of relevance to Project Management and spotlight models & studies commissioned for the implementation of various projects. Among the key successful models to be showcased in the Forum is the Dubai Model with all features and characteristics that render it a global success story and an example to be emulated not only across the region, but also all over the world. It will also discuss a host of key topics including Project Management in Art where Dubai has many models to offer including the Dubai International Film Festival, Art Forums, International Drawing Exhibitions, and the Etihad Museum; a project entrusted to the RTA. The event will also touch on other key topics such as Project Management in Sports (examples include the Dubai International Tennis Championship, Dubai Marathon, Dubai Cycling Tour, football & beach volleyball championships and several regional, continental and international sports championships in various disciplines). The Forum will also cast light on other issues such as the Project Management Office, and the leadership concept as they play crucial roles in the success of projects.
