Dr. Nasser Saidi joins Falcon Board of Directors

Former DIFC Chief Economist Saidi joins Falcon Group as Non-Executive Director Dr. Nasser Saidi has joined the Board of Directors of leading alternative global financier Falcon Group.

Saidi is the former Chief Economist, strategist and Head of External Relations of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) – a position he held from 2006-12. While at the DIFC, he also established the Hawkamah Institute for Corporate Governance and the Mudara Institute of Directors. Previously, he served as Lebanon’s Minister of Economy and Trade, as well as the Minister of Industry, 1998-2000, and First Vice-Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, for two successive mandates: 1993-98, and 1998-2003.

He is the founder and President of Nasser Saidi and Associates, an economic & financial advisory company, as well as Deputy Chair of Eureeca, a crowd-investing platform. He is also a member of the IMF’s Regional Advisory Group for MENA and Co-Chair of the OECD MENA Corporate Governance Working Group and Chair of the regional Clean Energy Business Council.

Dr. Saidi recently spoke at Falcon Group’s fifth annual Dubai trade and corporate finance forum “Alternative finance: funding the future” in March 2014, alongside keynote speaker and former WTO Director General, Pascal Lamy.
