Sheikh Hamdan approves partial up zoning amendment of Abu Hail and Al Bida’a

HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Municipality has approved to partially amend the up zoning of Al Bida’a and Abu Hail areas in Dubai.

The move is aimed at improving the aesthetic appearance and visual impact of the Emirate of Dubai and the development of some areas of the emirate in tune with the rapid growth and urbanization in the city of Dubai.

Under this provision, it has been decided to rezone some lands from residential uses to multi-storey residential and detached villas which will enable owners of the land to reconstruct these lands as per new use and specification as well as to exploit their land in an economically viable manner.

Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality said that Dubai Municipality is always keen through its annual plans to study the rehabilitation of older areas so as to achieve the strategic objectives if Dubai.

‘The municipality is working hard to cooperate with its strategic partners to enhance Dubai’s global position in the provision of facilities and services to all members of the community,’ he added.
