The Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa is situated just 15 minutes away from Muscat and features three hotels tailored to cater to the privileged clientele’s every need.

Al Waha is Oman’s first family dedicated hotel and is the largest of the three hotels at the resort, comprising 262 guestrooms. The hotel’s name means “The Oasis”, because it is designed so that its several swimming pools form an oasis incorporating many date palm trees.

The second hotel, Al Bandar, is a five-star deluxe property providing 198 sea-facing guestrooms. Its name translates as “The Town”, a name reflected in the architecture of the hotel. Inspired by old Muscat, featuring buildings of varying heights and a variety of ornate balconies, Al Bandar is an inspiration. The hotel is the resort’s focal point, featuring seven food and beverage outlets, and 11 meeting rooms, as well as the spectacular Barr Al Jissah Ballroom providing banquet-style seating for up to 700 people.

Saving the best for last, the 180 rooms and suites at the Al Husn hotel offer amenities and privileges to the most discerning of travellers. It is the most luxurious part of the resort, where guests can enjoy access to the private 100-metre beach, as well as daily complimentary afternoon tea and pre-dinner cocktails and canapés service.

While there are no children’s facilities in Al Husn, there is the Lazy River, a children’s pool, playroom and water aquatic play area in Al Bandar and Al Waha.

CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La, invites guests to enjoy the privacy and luxury of the largest spa villas in Muscat. The large array of top-notch services include the unique CHI Water Oasis, featuring a vitality hydro pool, a herbal steam room, tundra and tropical showers, an ice fountain and a relaxation area.

Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa comprises nine diverse restaurants, three cafés and three pool bars to ensure guests enjoy a relaxing and entertaining stay.
