Sofitel recently announced the opening of its five-star flagship city hotel in Downtown Dubai that is scheduled to open on May 1.

The hotel’s 350 spacious rooms showcase Op Art design, with stunning views of the Burj Khalifa and the coast. To ensure that its guests reside in unmatched lavishness, all rooms feature spacious marble bathrooms, deluxe French amenities designed by Lanvin and Hermès, along with Sofitel’s MyBed concept – an all-feather bed, extra-light duvet – free WiFi and a Nespresso coffee machine.

The hotel has a large variety of rooms, including 76 suites with views of either the Burj Khalifa or the coastline.

“We are proud to offer, to distinguished luxury travellers, a piece of France in Dubai, with the opening of Sofitel Dubai Downtown,” says general manager, Klaus Assmann. “Sofitel’s luxury hotel portfolio grows continuously around the world and we are proud to gracefully link French culture with local culture in each property we operate. As we strive daily for excellence and exceeding our guests’ expectations, I am certain that this amazing hotel will attract discerning travellers from all over the world.”

Guests can enchant their taste buds with the two signature restaurants – The Green Spices and The Red Grill. Open kitchens at Les Cuisines offers all-day international dining, while the Lobby Patisserie takes you right back to Paris.

The 31st Bar boasts panoramic views of both the Burj Khalifa and the coastline, while guests enjoy exotic cocktails. Op Art Lobby Bar is the ideal place to visit after meetings or before a night out in the city. With the Burj Khalifa as the backdrop, guests can enjoy the chic and lively surroundings of the Mosaic Pool and Arabic Lounge Bar. A 60-metre infinity pool with loungers is the ideal place to unwind during the day, while a trendy Lebanese Lounge serves drinks and Lebanese delicacies in the evening – this is the hotel’s hot spot.

Sofitel Downtown Dubai’s spa and fitness centre will comprise a full range of state-of-the-art equipment facilities, including treatment rooms, two Hammams with private baths, a scrub and deep relaxation room, and a dry sauna and steam room.

Moreover, the deluxe hotel features 14 meeting rooms and a 600-person ballroom to accommodate special occasions or business meetings and conferences.

The Sofitel Dubai Downtown has a privileged position in the heart of the city, as it’s located on Sheikh Zayed Road across from the Burj Khalifa. The hotel is just a few hundred metres away from The Dubai Mall, and all major business and leisure destinations Dubai has to offer.
