Leading regional horology event, Dubai Watch Week, is returning for its third edition in November 2017, organisers Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons announced on Tuesday.

For five days, the cultural and education global event hosts key industry spokespeople and leading horological personalities, to discuss pressing issues in the industry, the artistry of fine watchmaking and the latest innovations in the field, among other topics.

It is dedicated, at its heart, to the craftsmanship and innovation in the watches industry.

Fostering knowledge

Dubai Watch Week’s objective is to educate the public on the skills and knowledge of mechanical watchmaking, as well as raise awareness surrounding some of the watch industry challenges.

The event has been recognized as a significant meeting point for the watch industry, as it creates an intimate platform for collectors, brands, watchmakers and the members of the media to interact and share knowledge.

The non-commercial event will continuously foster the interests of its regional watch community by promoting Dubai as a platform for horological enthusiasts and experts, through discussions, workshops, exhibitions and other platforms.

The upcoming edition of the event will focus on Masters of Time, by showcasing the pinnacle of watchmaking achievement through several exhibitions, workshops, watchmaking master classes, forums and VIP events that will take place at the Dubai International Financial Centre and The Dubai Mall.

Dubai Watch Week is held under the Patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority , and in collaboration with the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH).
