Pop Up Art – Middle East continues with exclusive showcase of Art in Bahrain

Pop Up Art – Middle East, a 4-day art exhibition exclusive to Bahrain, presented artworks from across the Middle East and North Africa, hosting Toufic Beyhum, artist / photographer / film director and grandson of the world-famous late poet Nizar Kabbani on December 10th.

As part of the 4-day art exhibit Pop Up Art – Middle East presented the works of artists hailing from across the region, including Syria, Jordan, Tunisia, Lebanon and Iraq, as well as a British artist presenting exclusive works with a Middle Eastern twist. As a special bonus, guests witnessed the screening of award-winning documentary on the Bedouins of Petra, Jordan called ‘After Tomorrow,’ – with a commentary on how tourism is affecting the region and its locals. The screening was followed by a Q&A session with the film’s co-director Toufic Beyhum.

Pop Up Art – Middle East continues for 5-days from December 10th to December 15th at Words Bookstore Café, Palm Square, Budaiya Highway, Bahrain.
