Fingers crossed: Trends we hope to see at Fashion Forward

As Dubai gears up for Fashion Forward, here are some trends we, at Aficionado, hope to see on the runways.

Fashion Forward Season 4 is taking place from October 4 to 6 and will see local designers showcase their latest creations.

“Fashion Forward is predominantly a trade event and most of our guests are from the local, regional and international fashion communities, whether they are fellow designers, buyers, media or industry professionals. The feedback from previous seasons has been very positive, and we are sure that, as we continue to grow and evolve, this season’s feedback will be the best yet,” says Bong Guerrero, the founder and CEO of Fashion Forward.

Fall/Winter collections always feature well-tailored and well-fitted clothes, and this season, hopefully, they will not disappoint. Colours such as black, grey and camel stood out at international runways, along with double-breasted suits and bold prints.

Black and Grey

By no means a great surprise, classic colours of black and grey took their rightful place on international catwalks. Aficionado is impressed with this unique twist on tradition and its innovative interpretations.

Seeing Double

Double-breasted suits have been invading the runways for several seasons now, but, for Fall/Winter 2014/2015, they have incorporated a range of different cuts and styles. Give off a ’80s vibe, while staying marvellously modern.

Camel Chic

Camel is one of the most elegant colours this season and runways are filled with camel-toned jackets featuring extravagant details. We recommend pairing these tan-coloured coats with a suit for a more formal look.
