Hublot announces Ragheb Alama as its first ambassador in Middle East

Over the weekend, leading Swiss watchmaker Hublot announced Lebanese singer and superstar, Ragheb Alama, as its first official brand ambassador in the Middle East region.

Furthermore, Ragheb Alama is the first Arab ambassador of the watch brand.

The announcement was shared in real-time via the brand’s Instagram and Twitter accounts for the Middle East and Africa. “Hublot announces superstar @raghebalama as Friend Of The Brand from the heart of Beirut by the Roman baths, a 2,000+ year old historical site showing the fusion of the past and the future from Switzerland to the East,” read the caption of a picture showing Alama with Hublot’s regional brand director, Marco Tedeschi.

However, this was no big surprise, as Alama has been present as a special guest in a few of Hublot’s recent events in the region, including the opening of a new Hublot boutique in The Dubai Mall last month. It is also part of the brand’s efforts to further solidify itself in the region, which Tedeschi has dropped hints about earlier.

“We are going to have a big announcement next month in Lebanon, to reveal our first ambassador for the region,” Tedeschi had told Aficionado during an earlier interview.

With the new official partnership, Alama joins American professional basketball player Kobe Bryant, retired Brazilian football legend Pelé, Portuguese football manager and former football player José Mourinho and other international friends of Hublot in their respective regions.
